Memory Scripture: "Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things He does for me." Psalm 103:2

Good morning! Rise and SHINE!

Ok, our reading is getting GOOD. I mean, it is always good, but it is extra good today.

Something that Moses said to God stopped me in my tracks. Man, I want to have this kind of boldness with God. I want this kind of FAITH so desperately!

Moses inquired to God, "Who will you send with me into the Promised Land?"

Moses needed assurance. He needed to know that God would not send him alone into this new place.

Exodus 33:14 says, "The Lord replied, "I will  personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest-everything will be fine for you."

Oh, but listen to Moses' response:

"If you don't personally go with us, don't make us leave this place." Exodus 33:15

Whoa!

Let's apply this to our own little lives.

What if we boldly came before God each day and inquired of His Presence with us?

What if we told Him that we would not make a move, NOR, say a word, unless He assured us He was with us?

I for one know that I should have asked Him this over many situations. Instead I bulldozed on my own and left a mess of regrets.

We so often do not inquire of God. We just do our own thing and then get mad at Him when things don't turn out like we would like them to.

We don't wait on God.

Sometimes, it is in the silence, in the waiting, in the darkness....that He speaks the loudest.

But, we have to be willing to inquire.

Do you have a decision to make?

Are you confused about what to do?

Seek the Lord, just like Moses did.

Tell Him that you will not make a move without Him.

Then, wait.

And keep inquiring.

Oh, Moses, you are teaching us so much.

Aren't we so thankful for God's Word?

AHHHHHH!

Oh!! One more thing....

Did I tell you that TOMORROW IS MY BIRTHDAY?!

I mean, just in case you forgot...;)

back to my reading,

jill
