A Time for Everything…

As I am sitting here at this table writing, gulping down a huge cup of coffee, I decide it is time for a bathroom break. I have held it long enough!
Making my way to the bathroom here at Barnes and Noble, I walk in and see a beautiful momma holding a newborn close to her chest.
Alongside of her, three more of her sweet children waiting to go to the bathroom.
I notice the tired look on this momma’s face. She looks happy and content, but also exasperated.
Clearly, I remember those days.
A lump in my throat the size of Texas arises. Goodness, I miss my children being small. Those days are so priceless and precious to think back on.
However, I realized that God has good things for me right here where I am, in this new season of life.
God still has plans for me! Motherhood is still very much alive and well, just in a very different way than when my babies were little.
My kids still need me in new ways. They need a listening and understanding ear. They need advice when tough situations arise. They still need me financially, in a big way! (haha!)
I am reminded of Ecclesiastes Chapter 3…
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens…”
Wherever you are in your journey of life, embrace it. Be present in it. Bloom exactly where you are planted.
Sweet friend, God has a plan for your life.
When you surrender to His plan, it will exceed above and beyond your wildest imagination!
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, Ephesians 3:20
