Happy Fun Friday, SHINE girls! Did you memorize your Monday Memory Verse? I hope so! If not, work on it this weekend. We will have a new one Monday...get ready! :)
So, I keep hearing this song on the radio. EVERY time I get in my car it comes on. It brings me to tears each time I hear it. In my heart and head I see the visual of the words. The song is "Give this Christmas Away" by Matthew West. If you haven't heard it...Google it. Now.
I have seen first hand the poor, the hungry, the needy, the hopeless, the destitute this past year. This has opened my eyes to a whole new world of what Christ's love is about. I feel like I have aged 10 years this past year. Not physically, or at least I hope not, but spiritually.
Something inside of my heart has changed. It can only be credited to Jesus working inside of it. He has been chiseling away at the hardened pieces that encase it. It will take a life time to chisel it all the way, but oh my goodness, what a difference a chisel makes! :)
As I read each and every SHINE serving story, and talk to many of you, I am seeing the Holy Spirit working EVERYWHERE. Not just in my town, or my kids schools, but in many towns, in many schools. In many work places, in many homes, and most of all in many hearts!
The stirring of the Holy Spirit is rampant, girls. It is!
I love growing with you. I love being chiseled away by the Lord's Holy handy-man tools! Don't you?

Pray about how you can be the hands of feet of Jesus to someone. Not just today but this whole month.
Pray about how YOU can give this Christmas away.
This is not about giving away money, but giving away love. Giving away your time. Giving away your heart to something way bigger than you. Giving away your prayers for a certain family or person.
Give something away, girls.

Yours will look different than mine. God calls us all to different areas to serve and to give.
Pray about where yours is. Get ready though, because He will show you. Oh yes, He will!
As I was loading up my car with YOUR SHINE mission project donations, I heard the song. As I was leaving the shelter where I dropped off the laundry detergent that YOU donated, I heard this song. As I was driving down the road praying for a new friend that needs a helping hand, I heard this song.
