Prayer Requests and Praises week of 7/1-7/7...

 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened.  

Now suppose one of you fathers is asked by his son for a fish; he will not give him a snake instead of a fish, will he? Or if he is asked for an egg, he will not give him a scorpion, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”

Luke 11:9-13

Lord, Thank you for these words from our Lord, Jesus Christ. We are the heirs to this promise through prayer. What a wonderful gift from You! We humbly accept this gift and promise.
In honor of this holiday week, we thank you and praise you everyday for our military and this great country that you have blessed us with. Please protect our troops and our country from harm, Lord. We pray that our troops would be ambassadors of goodness abroad, dear God. Bless their bodies and their minds as they defend our country. 
We pray that you would bless our leaders and fellow Americans to turn their hearts toward loving and honoring You. Help us to be obedient in our walk, Lord, so that the men and women of this country would be attracted to our sweet Friend, Jesus Christ. We love you and praise you, Lord, Amen.
